Dear boys

Dear boys... I took the past 2 1/2 months off of blogging. Sorry, but moving really knocked my socks off! I will do my best to blog some of the highlights from the past few months. Let see, what have you been up to?

Connor, you have really become quite the little reader. You have read about 40 books! The best part is you have finally stopped being so hard on yourself when you don't get a word right away. You are sounding out some pretty impressive words. You teacher tells us that you behave great in school and always participate. Soccer season just ended and you were our star player. You scored almost every game. You had a set back a few weeks ago when you started having some breathing trouble. Looks like you inherited your Dad's asthma. We have an appointment this week with a specialist and we are going to do everything we can to help you out. You just passed you last karate test and you are now a green belt! You have been saving your allowance like a miser lately. When I asked what for you told me for a truck when you are 16. When I asked what kind you said "Uncle Bruce's truck". I told Bruce and he said he would save it for you. Though you want to put monster truck tires on it and paint it red, white and blue! How patriotic of you!

Hudson, you have started reading as well! You are up to 20 words. They are all three letter words. We have been shocked by how fast you took to reading. You get pretty anxious when you are not sure of yourself, but once you get the word you are so happy. Your favorite word so far has been BUT...go figure! We let you practice with Connor's soccer team all season. You even beat a couple of the 5 and 6 year olds when it was 1 on 1 time. You are going to be an amazing athlete. Now remember....Mommy likes Camaro's....you know, if your looking to buy me a gift with your signing bonus one day! A month ago I could not get you to sit down and color for anything and then one day you just decided you liked it. And now you are impressing everyone with you ability to stay in the lines. You have started writing your name and your letters. You ASK for homework every day. These past few weeks we have been getting great reports from babysitters and your teachers about your behavior. You seem to be turning a corner where that is concerned and that is a relief to all of us!You both love our new home. There are so many "secret short cuts" as you call them and so much room to play. You wanted to share a room and your Daddy and I take great joy in listening to the both of you bond every night. You stay up for about an hour talking. You are horrible at being sneaky, but that's OK with us! I am sure you will get better at it. That's why we put the alarm system in the house! Our new neighborhood is awesome! I will tell you all about it in another post.

We just had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Grammy & Pops, Uncle Justin & Aunt Erin, her family & the newest member of our family Barrett! You new cousin....but I'll tell you all about him in another post!

Looks like I am off to start posting some pics of our past few months. i will do my best to never take a break that long again. If I do your Aunt Betty just might show up at the door and tie me to the computer chair!!

Love, Mom
