Mangiare and more!

Connor now eats ham sandwiches!!! Last night he ate his spinach faster than I did and this morning he ate......SCRAMBLED EGGS!!! (They had ketchup on them... baby steps)
I am so proud of how far he has come from the puke-master to a good eater. Most nights we still have to say "eat, eat, eat". But that isn't because they don't like it. It's due to the fact that they are 4 and 5 and have 50 things to tell Daddy about their day. I hate saying eat so much that I started saying "mangiare". That's Italian for eat. Hudson thought it was cool so he has started asking me to teach him other words in Italian. Now he hugs me and says "Ti amo, Mommy" which means "I love you Mommy". And really, what woman can resist a man who speaks Italian? My Nanny taught me some Italian words when I was a kid, but I don't think they are appropriate for a 4 year old. Do they have a kids version of Rosetta Stone?
At the end of May Connor graduated PreK (again). We kept him back a year due to his birthday being in the Summer. We are so happy we made this decision. He is so ready for Kindergarten. He has grown socially and is ready for the big bad world of Elementary School. We went on a tour and he loved it! He can't wait to ride the bus and eat in the cafeteria. We are pretty nervous about him on the bus, but our neighbors daughter will be in 1st grade and promised to show him the ropes. Hudson is ready for PreK. He has his fingers crossed (and so do we) that he will get the same teacher Connor had this year. Wait till I show you the amazing memory book Mrs. J. made for Connor at the end of the year. We just love her! We could not have been happier with our return to our church's school. I love that they are in a place where the teachers already know who they are and who we are. I love the faith based education. What a great place to be!
The renovation has been moving forward. We have torn up the entryway to our house. Brandon & Bruce had to build a new threshold for the front door. We removed the laminate flooring, B put texture on the wall. and the next step is paint and hardwood flooring. Doing each project on our own takes a lot longer, but it is going to be pretty cools one day to say we touched every square inch of this house.
I have started running a few times per week. I know I said I would never run unless someone was chasing me, but I actually like it. It is kind of hard to find the time now that the boys are out of school. Hopefully I can keep it going through the summer and then get into a good schedule once the boys are back to school in August.
Pictures soon!
