3rd of July

Our Independence Day celebration lasted 3 days. I am going to have to break it down into 3 posts. There were just too many pictures!
On Friday Brandon closed the shop at noon and brought home the boat for a quick trip around the lake. We just didn't know how quick that trip would be! Erin was working, so Brett & the kids joined us. THANK GOD THEY DID! Less than 5 minutes into the trip the boat started to act funny, then smell funny, then smoke! We grabbed the kids and put them all on the front of the boat and even the adults threw on life jackets (the kids always have them on). We had to get a tow to the boat ramp. Then I took then kids to the park for a while while Brandon & Brett pushed the boat back onto the trailer. They were amazing. Not only did they push the boat onto the trailer faster then most people drive it onto a trailer, they laughed the whole time. I love their personalities! So many people would have let that ruin their day. Not them. We just decided to go back to our house. I can not imagine what a disaster it would have been if I was the one who had to push the boat instead of Brett!!
Notice how wet Brandon's shirt is....from pushing the boat!

The kids did not seem to mind the change in plans. The best thing about 2 Dad's in the pool is Mom can sit back and take pictures. Though my feet ended up in every picture!Brandon has been working with Connor to push off of the wall and Brett has been working with Olivia to pop her head up and take a breath while swimming. Both kids listened to the opposite Daddy better that day. So we switched "coaches"
Later that evening we wanted to go watch the big local fireworks show called Red, Hot & Boom. The traffic is CRAZY there. Luckily my friend Michelle offered us her backyard which has a perfect view of the fireworks, but no traffic. Plus the kids can see all of the fireworks from a safe distance.
