The kindness of strangers
So, I sent out an e-mail asking everyone to update me with their numbers since I never write anything down. Some of your questions and comments had me laughing. I just wanted to address a few here:
No, Tom, I do not have a Zoolander size phone.
Justin, the toilet is still working.
For the 25 of you that thought it was "cute", I have no comment.
Shelley, I'm glad you got a laugh. Lord knows your son supplied me with plenty over the years.
I had a talk with Hudson about what does and does not go into the potty! Hopefully he understands. Fingers crossed!

what a week
Tues - Rash comes back. It is 9pm so I just take some benadryl & go to bed. Brandon wakes me every hour to make sure I am alive.
Wed - Wake up and my left arm is numb. Like I slept on it ALL night. Going to tell Brandon about it when he calls & says his Mom is being rushed to hospital for heart palpitations (she is fine now) So, I don't say anything. I call my Dr. and they leave me on hold so long I give up. By noon I am sure the feeling isn't coming back. I tell Brandon, he comes home & it is back to the ER. They hear my symptoms & I get into the back right away. Except there is some special lunch thing going on at the hospital so I sit in my room for 1/2 hour waiting to be seen by anyone. What is wrong with hospitals? They suspect a blood clot at first. They test, no clot. They do CT, all clear. They do urine test & EKG. All clear. Get diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy. Which basically means nerve damage. I do the dangerous thing and google the diagnosis. Don't google a medical condition. The website has me convinced that my arm will be useless forever. Oh yeah, Brandon woke me every hour this night as well.
Thurs - wake up and feel pretty good. One hour later the numbness and pain are back. This was the 11th anniversary of the day Brandon & I met. So, we have a special dinner with the kids and the usual "Did you imagine 11 years ago that we would be here" conversation.
Friday -Wake up worse. Numb, in pain and it is spreading. Now into my neck, cheek, ear and parts of my leg. I'm not gonna lie. I was afraid. I went to see my Dr. He said that he thinks it is a reaction to all of the toxin in my body and should be OK in a couple of weeks. He puts me on high does of prednisone. 7 pills on Friday. Of course taking that much prednisone kind of freaks Brandon out and he wakes me every hour..... to make sure I'm alive.

In My Butt
Hudson: Mommy?
Me: Yes, Hudson?
Hudson: I hear fireworks.
Me: Where?
Hudson: In my Butt.
While he said the last line he turned around and stuck his behind at me. If a video camera had been running we would be $10,000 richer.
Speaking of money. The other day Hudson was driving Connor crazy. Here is a conversation from that day.
Connor: Mom, Hudson is driving me crazy.
Me: What are we going to do with him?
Connor (thinks for a second): Let's sell him.
Me: How much?
Connor: Six dollars

No Pickles
Coffee guy: what can I get you?
Me: Grande latte, non-fat, no whipped cream
Hudson: And no pickles!
Everyone in the place started laughing. When my drink was ready the girl even called "latte, no pickles"
Connor went up for the children's story at church. Rev. Paul asked the kids if they loved their Mom's and how much. Connor stood up, threw his hands out and said "I love my Mom this much". I was feeling pretty good. Then Paul asked if they loved God and Connor said "no". The whole church burst out in laughter. Every week the congregation waits to see what Connor will say next!
Retreat!
Some of the men took great pleasure in teasing me about animals in the woods and kept telling me that the gator would come right up to my door. Just goes to show that most men are still 13 year old boys at heart!
Valentine' Day

Ok, so I know most of you enjoy seeing the gifts the boys pick out for me. He is the picture. First, a barbie card. It didn't say Mom, but it was the one they wanted. It is the first card Connor has ever signed his own name in!
Pot Roast
They ate the carrots, potatoes & beef. Hudson even asked for more carrots! Yeah!

Uncle Joe
Ever since the visit Connor has been bringing up Unlce Joe at random moments. On the way home from the church dinner the other night we were talking about who we got to see at the dinner. Connor said "where was Uncle Joe?".
We had a very nice visit, but it made me miss my family even more! Time to schedule a visit home!

He has also made a firetruck/crayon holder. What a great thing for the HD to do for kids. Connor loves it.

Video Testing
You have no idea how hard I have tried to get video to work on the blog. I swear staying home with the kids has made me stupid! I think I've got it now. Let me know if it doesn't work for you. If this works i will start posting more video. Please work.
Super Sunday
On Sunday night we went over to a friends for a Super Bowl party. We had a great time. The kids played. And how about those Giants? I wore my Giants jersey. I haven't worn it in a bout 15 years. Guess it's my lucky jersey now!
Boy stuff
Brandon was cleaning up the saw dust from his latest project and Hudson thought it looked like a good idea to walk in the saw dust . We thought this was funny until he decided to swim in the saw dust. He was a mess!
Connor ate a bean!

Update
Well, maybe it's not so bad.
Doesn't everyone take pictures of their kids while they are in time out?
On Saturday Connor & Brandon went to the monster truck show.
They had a blast. They didn't get home until midnight. That is way past Connor's bedtime (mine too!) Connor wore his head phone to drown out some of the noise. Brandon said he left them on the whole time.

Hudson tried on the head phones as he was sure he was going to Monster Jam with the boys. He has been saying "I'm going to Monster Truck Mash" for weeks. He has been telling everyone he sees. Poor kid was devastated when Brandon & Connor left. Luckily Katina & Erin came over with Ella & Olivia for dinner. They provided a distraction for the little guy.

I made the kids chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Here is Olivia, the ever dainty, clean little girl that she is. Just one little dab of chocolate on her mouth.

Then there's Ella. Not quite as clean.

And then there's Hudson. He's such a boy!
